Vineet started serving the nation when he was just twenty-two years old. Post completing his bachelor’s degree, Vineet was appointed as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Jharkhand Police, Government of Jharkhand. He was mandated with the pilot responsibility of establishing the first state-of-art CDRC (Cyber Defence Research Centre) in India for Jharkhand Police. He coined the centre name, built team of experts and defined operations framework including all the policies and processes in consultation with the government officials. He launched a number of key statewide cyber security initiatives like eKawach (Critical Infrastructure Protection), capacity building, State Cyber Security Policy, crisis management plan, Cyber Surveillance & Social Media Intelligence, security of Jharkhand government & Jharkhand police websites and networks.
Vineet headed the Jharkhand Intelligence Training & Technology School (JITTS), Jharkhand Police where he trained the security personnels for Chief Minister, Rajbhavan, Airport, and Central Coalfields Limited. He also conducted training sessions for senior IPS Officers (DGP, ADG’s, IG’s, DIG’s) on IT and cyber security. He has also been the Local Liaison Officer, for Anti- Corruption & Security Unit (ACSU) of ICC and BCCI in a few matches. Vineet is also a commissioned officer of the Territorial Army presently holding the rank of Major.
